Offering incense to commemorate the 234th death anniversary of the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac
On February 12, at Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital, the Department of Health held a ceremony to commemorate the 234th death anniversary of the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac (1724 - 1791).
Attending the ceremony were comrade Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of Nghe An Department of Health and representatives of the Department of Health, representatives of Oriental Medicine Associations, Acupuncture Associations and a number of hospitals in the province.
At the ceremony, delegates respectfully offered flowers and incense in memory of the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac, a shining example of medical ethics and skills for future generations of physicians to follow.

The great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac - one of the most famous physicians in the history of Vietnamese medicine, is known not only as a talented physician - with many contributions to the development of traditional medicine in our country but also as a great thinker and a world cultural celebrity.
Throughout his life, Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac was always a devoted physician, an intellectual who valued great righteousness and humanity. He left behind for posterity a huge cultural heritage, with profound and lasting values in many aspects, basically collected in the book "Hai Thuong y tong tam linh" - a book that summarizes the quintessence of traditional oriental medicine and traditional Vietnamese medicine; considered the greatest medical "encyclopedia" of medieval Vietnam.
The great physician collected and discovered more than 300 traditional Vietnamese medicines, and compiled 2,854 common empirical remedies for the people. He always paid attention to building the medical ethics of physicians, and proposed 9 principles in “Medical teachings” to teach about the ethics of physicians, which are still valid today.
On this occasion, the Oriental Medicine Association and the Acupuncture Association of Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital also held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the Great Physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac at the Tomb and Monument, Church and Memorial Area in Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province./.
