A vibrant festival at Van Temple - Cua Rao.
The Van Temple - Cua Rao Festival in 2025 will be held from February 17-19 (corresponding to the 20th-22nd day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Snake) with many vibrant activities reflecting the unique cultural identity of the highlands.

Attending the opening ceremony were representatives from provincial departments and agencies; localities twinned with Tuong Duong district; district leaders, departments and offices, as well as local people and tourists from near and far.
The Van Temple - Cua Rao is situated on a wide hill, surrounded by many ancient trees hundreds of years old. It belongs to Cua Rao 2 village, Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district. The Van Temple is a beautiful architectural structure, comprising a main hall, a sanctuary, and other structures such as the temple gate and courtyard.

This temple has been classified as a national heritage site by the Provincial People's Committee.Provincial-level historical and cultural relicIn 2009, the temple was dedicated to General Doan Nhu Hai (of the Tran Dynasty), who fought and sacrificed his life on this land to protect the border, the territory, and the lives of the people. The temple also houses the shrines of Saint Tran Hung Dao - Great King, the Three Holy Mothers, and the Five Venerable Elders.
To commemorate and express gratitude for the meritorious deeds of General Doan Nhu Hai and other generals, every year, the government and people of various ethnic groups in Tuong Duong district solemnly organize a festival at the Van Temple - Cua Rao historical site.

The Van Temple - Cua Rao Festival has long been a vibrant cultural space showcasing the diverse ethnic groups in Tuong Duong district, deeply ingrained in the hearts of both locals and visitors.

The Van Temple - Cua Rao Festival is organized with many vibrant activities reflecting the unique cultural identity of the highlands. The festival part is lively with traditional rituals such as the Opening Ceremony, Announcement Ceremony, Procession of the Ancestral Tablets, Grand Ceremony, and Thanksgiving. The festival part is bustling with folk games, traditional dances, ethnic costume performances, and sports competitions. Notably, this year also includes a competition for the most beautiful campsite and mountain cuisine. Within the festival grounds, there are food stalls all prepared by local people, such as mooc, noc, sour meat, pia, ot...; stalls introducing and promoting local products; and job placement stalls...

The Temple Festival - Van Cua Rao aims to preserve and promote the spiritual and cultural values of the ethnic groups in Tuong Duong district, contributing to meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the people; to educate about the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," commemorating the contributions of national heroes who sacrificed themselves in the war against foreign invaders; to promote cultural and sports activities, creating a healthy playground for the ethnic groups in the district; and to link the festival activities with the promotion and development of ecological and spiritual tourism in Tuong Duong district.
