Dean Huijsen is becoming the "hottest" name on the transfer market as a series of top Premier League clubs are "crazy" about competing for this 19-year-old central defender.

Man United and Real Madrid Eye Juventus Regret Huijsen

The £50m release clause has not cooled the heat of the race, but has instead made it more intense than ever.

As soon as the Winter transfer window has closed, the 2025 Summer transfer window has heated up day by day, with the focus being on the battle for the signature of young talent Dean Huijsen. On the payroll of Bournemouth, this 19-year-old central defender is considered one of the most promising "gems" in Europe, attracting special attention from big names such as Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Dean Huijsen emerged as a promising young centre-back. Having grown up at Juventus, he made a strong impression during his loan spell at AS Roma. It was this impressive performance that helped Bournemouth quickly secure Huijsen's services in the summer of 2024. However, less than a year later, he was on the radar of a number of prestigious clubs.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that many big clubs have contacted Bournemouth to ask about Huijsen's release clause, predicting a fierce competition in the next summer transfer window.

Last summer, Newcastle spent too much time on Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi deal, and "regretted" missing out on Huijsen. Therefore, with Huijsen's contract release clause about to come into effect, the "Magpies" are trying to "correct their mistake".

Romano added that Newcastle are constantly calling to update Huijsen's situation. However, they will have to compete not only with big clubs in the Premier League, but also giants Bayern Munich, who are also paying special attention to this young talent.

Participation in the Champions League next season is considered the most important factor for Huijsen to make the final decision. Among the clubs mentioned, Chelsea and Newcastle are competing for a place in the top 4 of the Premier League, while Liverpool, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are almost certain to be in the Champions League next season. Man United still have hope of "salvaging" through the Europa League championship.

As for Bournemouth, they are not "disappeared" either as they still have a chance to compete for a Champions League spot. If they maintain their impressive form, this team is completely capable of convincing Huijsen to stay, despite the interest from the "big guys". Of course, the final decision still lies with Huijsen himself, even if there is a contract release clause.
