President Trump says Ukraine must pay the US $400-500 billion in compensation
President Donald Trump said he would soon reach an agreement with Ukraine on compensating the US $400-500 billion.

According to RIA Novosti on February 22, US President Donald Trump said he hopes to quickly reach an agreement with Ukraine on its obligation to compensate the US with 400-500 billion USD.
"I think we're very close. I think they want it. They like it. It's a big deal. We're going to be signing agreements, hopefully shortly, to make sure that $400-$500 billion is coming back to us," President Trump said.
Mr Trump stressed that he hoped the Ukraine crisis would be resolved.
"We spend our money, they bleed, but we spend money on a country far away. We don't get our money back, we don't want to lose more. I have to make sure that Russia wants to make a deal. I think we will be successful" - the US President affirmed.
Meanwhile, Axios cited close officials as saying that President Donald Trump was ready to cut military aid to Ukraine because he was angry with Volodymyr Zelensky's statements.
“Mr. Zelensky angered President Trump so much during peace talks with Russia that Mr. Trump wanted to cut off US military support for Ukraine,” Axios said.
According to the source, Mr. Zelensky angered Mr. Trump for a number of reasons: rejecting the idea of a deal on Ukrainian resources; criticizing the meeting of the Russian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia; accusing the head of the White House of being influenced by disinformation.
In recent days, President Donald Trump has made a series of damaging statements about Volodymyr Zelensky. President Trump called the Ukrainian leader a “dictator” and accused him of refusing to hold elections. According to Trump, Mr. Zelensky wants to continue military operations to “keep the food flowing.”
