Today's domestic coffee price, February 24, is at 132,800 - 134,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Coffee prices have increased sharply from 3,000 to 3,300 VND/kg compared to last week. The market has the opportunity to surpass the historical peak of 134,200 VND/kg.

Domestic coffee prices today

Domestic coffee prices today in the Central Highlands region remained unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 132,800 - 134,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 134,000 VND/kg. No change compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Dak Lak province are at 134,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Similarly, coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged and were traded at VND134,000/kg.

In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged at VND132,800/kg.

At the end of last week, the price of coffee in the Central Highlands increased sharply from 3,000 to 3,300 VND/kg compared to the previous week.

Specifically, agents in Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai provinces increased by 3,000 VND/kg compared to last week. In Lam Dong province alone, the coffee purchase price increased by 3,300 VND/kg.

Currently, coffee prices in the domestic market are slightly above the historical peak of VND134,200/kg reached in April 2024 and are expected to set a new record in the coming trading sessions.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market also fluctuate:

Robusta Coffee (London):

March 2025 delivery: Up 71 USD/ton, to 5,712 USD/ton.

Delivery in May 2025: Up 62 USD/ton, to 5,717 USD/ton.

Arabica Coffee (New York):

March 2025 delivery: Down 0.65 cents/lb, to 389.25 cents/lb.

May 2025 delivery: Down 0.65 cents/lb, to 378.9 cents/lb.

Meanwhile, world coffee prices have been adjusted down due to profit-taking activities of speculators, inventories have increased again and roasters are said to have stocked enough coffee at this time.

On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of robusta coffee for March 2025 delivery closed last week at $5,712/ton, down 0.4% ($23/ton) from a week ago; the May 2025 contract also fell 0.2% ($9/ton), to $5,717/ton.

The New York Stock Exchange fell by a wider margin and fell below 400 US cents/pound. Specifically, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in May 2025 fell 4.5% (18.2 US cents/pound) last week to 389.25 US cents/pound; the July 2025 futures contract also fell to 378.9 US cents/pound.

Speculators reduced their bullish bets on Arabica coffee futures last week, with speculators cutting their net long position in Arabica coffee KCc2 by 1,938 lots to 43,123 lots, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) said.

The drop in coffee prices on the floor was expected due to the strong increase in prices before, speculation increased buying on the floor leading to a sell-off this week. However, domestic coffee prices still increased well and increased for the 6th consecutive week in the context of low supply from Vietnam.
