Man Utd spend big, Osimhen close to joining Old Trafford?
According to multiple sources, Manchester United are ready to activate Osimhen's £62 million release clause.
Manchester United are desperate to strengthen their attack, and Victor Osimhen is considered a top target. Manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly keen to bring Osimhen to Old Trafford to improve the team's goalscoring ability, after Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee failed to live up to expectations.
After 26 rounds in the Premier League, Man Utd are only 15th in the table, and their ineffective attack is one of the main reasons. Currently, Osimhen is on loan at Galatasaray and has shown impressive form with 20 goals in 26 matches. Compared to Hojlund (7 goals in 33 matches) or Zirkzee (5 goals in 38 matches), Osimhen is expected to make a big difference to the Red Devils' attack.
Recently, Osimhen also sparked rumors of joining Man Utd when he appeared in a video on social media with a Red Devils fan. Furthermore, according to Fabrizio Romano, Man Utd plans to finalize the deal as soon as Osimhen finishes his time playing in Turkey. Barring any surprises, the transfer could be announced at the end of the season.
