World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market also fluctuate:

Robusta Coffee (London):

Delivery March 2025: Down 46 USD/ton, to 5,330 USD/ton.

Delivery in May 2025: Down 47 USD/ton, to 5,290 USD/ton.

Arabica Coffee (New York):

May 2025 delivery: Unchanged at 364.75 cents/lb.

Arabica coffee prices have fallen for two consecutive weeks, mainly due to the sharp depreciation of the Brazilian Real. Specifically, 1 USD was worth 5,689 BRL eight days ago, but by the end of last week, the exchange rate had fallen to 5,882 BRL/USD.

The continuous depreciation of the Real over eight trading sessions has prompted Brazilian farmers to increase sales, causing Arabica prices to plunge 16.2 cents to close at 373.05 cents/pound, down from 389.25 cents/pound last week.

Similarly, Robusta coffee prices also fell sharply. A week ago, Robusta was at $5,717/ton, but this week it fell to $5,330/ton, a loss of $387/ton.

Notably, the drop in coffee prices was not due to increased supply. In fact, Robusta inventories monitored by ICE fell to a two-month low of 4,247 bags on Friday, while Arabica inventories also hit a 9-1/2-month low of 758,514 bags on Tuesday.
