Nghe An leads the trend of new experiences
Recently, Euronews - a pan-European news television network, headquartered in Lyon, France, released a tourism trend report for 2025 "Discover something special, experience something better". Among them, there are several key trends that are suitable for the conditions in Nghe An, the province's tourism industry needs to seize the opportunity to accelerate development.
Trends suitable for conditions in Nghe An
According to Euronews, due to changes in tourist needs, the world tourism industry will shift to a model that prioritizes the environment, community, integrates technology, and enhances the tourist experience.
By 2025, travel will become more purposeful. Travelers will no longer be passive consumers but will actively participate in shaping the places they visit through participation in conservation projects, community programs or cultural exchanges.

Euronews points out some tourism trends in 2025, of which 3 trends are suitable for the natural conditions in Nghe An. The first is new experiences, tourists tend to avoid crowded destinations, instead going to lesser-known places, exploring "hidden gems", wild destinations, not yet exploited much.
Second is the cooling holiday, rising temperatures push tourists to seek destinations with cooler climates. This trend has emerged since 2024 and will continue to increase in 2025. Tourists will choose tourist destinations in cool highlands or sunny beaches, lakeside resorts...

And the third trend is responsible tourism, as social awareness of environmental issues is increasing, responsible tourism is becoming a type of tourism that many tourists are interested in. They tend to seek out natural destinations and participate in the conservation and regeneration of the landscape there.
With these prominent trends, we see that Nghe An’s infrastructure and tourism resources can meet the needs of tourists. These are the pristine beaches in Quynh Luu, Dien Chau and Nghi Loc; the waterfalls and streams in the mountainous districts and the forests that are carefully cared for by the villagers.

Not to mention the “hidden gems” that few people have discovered such as Puxailaileng peak, Muong Long (Ky Son), Pha Ca Tun (Que Phong), Pu Loi (Tan Ky)… These destinations basically meet the requirements of wild beauty, containing new and attractive things, cool climate in the summer and visitors can participate in preserving and regenerating the landscape.
Boost the start
In anticipation of tourism trends in 2025, destinations in Nghe An have begun to initiate preparations to build and promote the development of sustainable and renewable tourism models.
Along with Vinh city preparing to "open the sea" of Cua Lo, localities such as Hoang Mai town, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau and Nghi Loc districts are also building plans to clean up Quynh Phuong, Quynh Bang, Dien Thanh, Cua Hien and Bai Lu beaches to welcome tourists.

Localities plan to mobilize organizations, especially youth and students, to collect waste, clear waterways, and restore green, clean, and beautiful landscapes to beaches.
At the same time, call on accommodation and food service businesses to renovate their facilities and purchase equipment to improve service quality in the new tourist season.

In addition, tourist attractions in the West regularly maintain operations and constantly innovate in terms of landscape and services. Among them, the most prominent is Hon Mat Eco-tourism Area (Nghia Dan) with an area of nearly 50 hectares, surrounded by mountains, large blue lakes and colorful flower hills, creating a "beautiful landscape" picture. The climate here is fresh and cool, an ideal stop for everyone to come and rest and relax.
Grasping the tourism trends of 2025, we have built and renovated bungalow resort subdivisions, motels, tent areas and diverse outdoor activities such as SUP, kayaking, cycling, cruising on the lake, checking in at the flower garden. Play areas with animals such as sheep, ostriches, pigeons, along with spacious team building and campfire areas. Hon Mat also provides services such as BBQ parties, campfires and evening entertainment events, helping visitors have fun and memorable experiences.
Mr. Dang Trong Tan - Director of Hon Mat Eco-tourism Area
Ky Son district has two prominent tourist destinations, in line with the trend, which are Muong Long valley and Puxailaileng peak. These two destinations are still wild and have not been exploited much, especially Puxailaileng peak; low temperature, fresh climate and really cool in the summer months; tourists have the opportunity to get close to and blend with the natural landscape with interesting experiences.

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district, anticipating the tourism trend of the year, the district has directed Muong Long and Na Ngoi communes to carry out environmental sanitation, clear roads, and repair roads to restore pick-up and drop-off services. In the near future, the district will increase promotion of these destinations on media and social networks to attract tourists.
In addition, river, stream and waterfall destinations in the West have also begun to be cleared by local people, who have built huts and landscaped them to serve tourists in the hot summer. In particular, the Liep Waterfall tourist destination (Thanh Chuong) has had its bamboo bridge built across the two banks by members of the tourism cooperative and shops repaired to be ready to serve visitors.
Destinations such as Muong Dan village and the 7-storey waterfall complex (Que Phong), Khe To (Nghia Dan), Mo cave (Tan Ky), Khe Kien (Tuong Duong), Vuc But (Anh Son)... have all started preparing for the new tourist season.
According to the Tourism Development Plan for 2025, Nghe An province strives to reach 6.1 million visitors and tourism revenue of 11,800 billion VND. To achieve this target, from now on, the province's tourism industry needs to do a good job of forecasting, grasping trends and surveying destinations to promptly attract tourists for experiences.
