The Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee congratulates the Provincial Women's Union.
Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung acknowledged, commended, and expressed gratitude for the contributions of women to the socio-economic development of the province in general and in various fields of work in particular over the past period.
On the morning of March 7th, to commemorate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8th, 1910 – March 8th, 2025) and the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee visited and congratulated the Provincial Women's Union.
The delegation was led by Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. The delegation included: Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Le Duc Cuong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department; Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with leaders of Party departments, the Provincial Party Committee Office, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the provincial leadership, and the delegation, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung extended his respectful greetings, warm regards, and best wishes to the women of the Provincial Women's Union, and through the Union, to all women in the province. He wished them good health, happiness, beauty, intelligence, unity, and much success in their work and lives.
Emphasizing the significance of March 8th for women worldwide in general and in Vietnam in particular, representing women's equality, progress, and status, the Provincial Party Secretary stated that, despite many efforts, equality remains relatively low because women have to fulfill their natural roles, making more hardships and sacrifices compared to men.
International Women's Day is an occasion to honor and acknowledge the silent but extremely important contributions of women to the socio-economic development of the country and localities; to community building, social development, and especially their crucial role in building the happiness of each family, because only when families are happy can society be stable and prosperous. The tradition of Vietnamese women is extremely admirable: "Heroic - Indomitable - Loyal - Capable," and this includes the women of Nghe An.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung stated that Nghe An women have a tradition of living in a revolutionary homeland, the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh. Over the years, with the attention of Party committees and authorities at all levels, and with determination and effort, women have overcome difficulties to achieve outstanding accomplishments, contributing to the overall development of the province.
The Provincial Women's Union has effectively fulfilled its role and functions in disseminating information and mobilizing women of all social strata to implement socio-economic development tasks and programs of the province, especially the national target program on poverty reduction, new rural development, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; and has successfully carried out emulation movements in many fields, achieving many positive results.
In addition, the Association has successfully carried out three key tasks: supporting women's comprehensive development, building prosperous, happy, progressive, and civilized families; participating in building the Party and the political system, focusing on social monitoring and criticism, and mobilizing society to implement gender equality; and building a strong, professional, effective, and internationally integrated organization.
The association has also developed many models to help women mobilize resources, create jobs, improve their economic capabilities, and support women's entrepreneurship. Many models from Nghe An have been highly appreciated by the central government and have won top awards.
In addition, women in the province have actively participated in campaigns to mobilize resources, effectively carry out social welfare work, and contribute to poverty alleviation in the province. The Provincial Women's Union is one of the organizations that has actively contributed to the campaign to build and repair houses for the poor and disadvantaged in Nghe An province in recent years.

Agreeing with the key tasks and objectives that the Provincial Women's Union has identified for the coming period, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung stated that 2025 is a year with many significant events for the country. This is also the year to focus on achieving the highest possible level of completion of the goals, targets, and tasks of the entire 2020-2025 term.
In 2025, the province must also organize Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress. In particular, this is the year to implement the task of reorganizing and streamlining the organizational structure, a task with very high requirements, a very large volume, and a very difficult nature. In the past, the province has implemented this, achieving initial results, and must continue to do so in the future.
In response to that request, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung hoped that the women of the Provincial Women's Union, and through the Union, would mobilize and disseminate information to encourage all strata of women in the province, together with the Party Committee, Government, and people of the province, to effectively implement the key policies, orientations, and tasks of 2025.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung also requested the Provincial Women's Union to effectively carry out the three key tasks that have been identified; including actively participating in the organization of the Party congress, including personnel matters.
Over the past period, the province has paid great attention to the work of female cadres. This is demonstrated by the fact that at the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, 12 female cadres participated in the Provincial Party Committee, accounting for nearly 19%; and 3 female cadres participated in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, also accounting for nearly 19%.
Notably, for the first time, the province nominated and received approval from the Central Party Secretariat; the Provincial Party Committee elected a female comrade to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
Regarding the organization of the Women's Union in the coming period, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the Central Committee is continuing to implement the restructuring and streamlining of the organizational apparatus, which includes the organization of the Women's Union at all levels. Therefore, he hoped that the Provincial Women's Union would proactively implement and mobilize women at all levels to stabilize their thinking and prepare themselves mentally.
This is a revolution, so there will be sacrifices and hardships, but it is for the common cause, for the overall development of the country and the province in this new era, with new demands. Every contribution, including the contributions of women, is extremely meaningful, so we hope that women will pay attention and work together with the Party committees and authorities at all levels to achieve the best results, especially in a province with a revolutionary tradition and the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh like Nghe An.
The Provincial Party Secretary also hoped that the Provincial Women's Union would continue to carry out the tasks it had done well in the past, such as raising awareness and responsibility of society, the community, and families in the work of equality and the advancement of women. It should continue to support women in developing economic models because, in the coming time, with the high growth targets of the country and the province, all economic activities, whether small or large, will have a positive impact and contribute to overall development.
The Provincial Women's Union and women of all walks of life continue to pay attention to social welfare work. Nghe An is determined to complete the construction and repair of houses for poor households, disadvantaged households, and people with meritorious services before August 31, 2025, amidst a busy context with many new tasks and high demands. Therefore, we hope the Provincial Women's Union will work together with the Party committees and authorities at all levels to achieve this goal.
On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung also requested that Party committees, governments at all levels, and all sectors pay attention to, create favorable conditions for, and support women throughout the province in achieving their goals, requirements, and tasks in the coming period; and support women in achieving their legitimate desires and aspirations for the overall development of the province.
