Fraudsters selling deer antlers swindle nearly 13 billion VND.
On March 7th, the Investigation Police Department of Ninh Binh province issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspect, and order the arrest and temporary detention of Quach Thi Nuong (born in 1981), residing in Ba Cau hamlet, Ngoc Luong commune, Yen Thuy district, Hoa Binh province; current address: Dong Phong commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province.
During the investigation, the police determined that, due to a lack of stable employment and the need for money to pay debts and for personal expenses, Quách Thị Nương posted on social media platforms such as Zalo and Facebook, claiming to have excellent business connections and trading opportunities in goods such as deer, deer antlers, and other herbal products…
Later, Nuong befriended many people and spread false information about having a large supply of deer and deer antlers, claiming she could earn very high profits in a short time, and urged them to invest capital in the business.

Once she gained people's trust, many believed her and transferred money to Nuong for "investment in trading." However, Nuong did not use the money for trading as agreed, but instead embezzled it for personal use.
Using the above methods, from July 2023 to October 2024, Quach Thi Nuong defrauded Ms. Ng.TT (residing in Gia Vien district), Ms. D.TTH, Ms. TTL, and Ms. PTM (all residing in Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province) of a total of nearly 13 billion VND.
The Criminal Investigation Department of Ninh Binh Provincial Police is currently continuing to expand the investigation into the case.
