Nghe An currently has 9 facilities for repairing and modifying fishing vessels, creating jobs for many workers. Old ships, after being brought here, will be given a "new look" to confidently venture out to sea.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Ngo, owner of a boat repair facility in Nghia Phu hamlet, Phu Nghia commune, for wooden fishing boats, when the boat is put on the slipway for repainting, the hull is first cleaned, then any gaps in the planks are treated to seal them, and then a new coat of anti-fouling paint is applied to the entire boat.
