The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued Plan No. 162/KH-UBND on organizing activities to respond to the Earth Hour 2025 campaign in Nghe An province.
Earth Hour is a global campaign aimed at raising public awareness about the efficient use of resources, environmental protection, and climate change adaptation, striving for a green and clean Earth. The country is facing a new destiny, an era of national progress towards green transformation, digital transformation, and innovation. The journey towards green transformation, especially the energy transition and efficient energy use, presents many challenges and requires the involvement of the entire political system, from central to local levels, as well as the business community and the people.
The event aims to raise public awareness and promote a sense of responsibility among citizens in using energy efficiently and effectively, minimizing the harmful effects of climate change. It also seeks to enhance coordination among government agencies, social organizations, and the public in participating in the 2025 Earth Hour campaign through various means, such as turning off unnecessary lights and electrical appliances, or organizing activities to address the impacts of climate change.
The Provincial People's Committee requests that units and localities organize communication activities in response to the Earth Hour 2025 campaign taking place in March to attract the attention of numerous organizations, agencies, and people throughout the province to participate in the campaign.
Encourage organizations, agencies, and the public to switch off lights and unnecessary appliances during the event.The Earth Hour event will take place from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Strengthen propaganda activities through online platforms, radio, television, newspapers, and by displaying banners, slogans, flags, and posters at agency and unit headquarters, in densely populated central areas, and on busy roads.
The Provincial People's Committee has assigned specific tasks to departments and agencies; the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns, and other relevant units are required to seriously implement the Earth Hour initiative.
