Vinh City urgently builds free freshwater bathing spot at Cua Lo beach
Currently, Vinh city is directing construction units to speed up the installation and upgrading of 16 shower spots and 18 free parking lots to serve residents and tourists during the 2025 tourist season.
According to reporters on March 18, along Cua Lo beach, Vinh city, workers are installing shower stations, checking and connecting the water system, and testing operations to ensure stable operation during the upcoming tourist season.
According to observations, each shower point is installed with 3-6 stainless steel fresh water shower columns, about 2 meters high, each column has 4 nozzles that can accommodate 4-6 people bathing at the same time. The installation of free fresh water shower columns is one of the new features of Cua Lo beach tourism this year, receiving the attention and enthusiastic response of local people and tourists.
According to the Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Vinh City, it is expected that the entire beach will have about 16 free shower spots for people. In addition, public restrooms will also be located in the shower area.
Along with installing shower stations, Vinh City authorities also repaired and upgraded 18 free public parking lots.
Mr. Hoang Van Hop - Chairman of Nghi Huong Ward People's Committee, Vinh City said: As a locality with the longest location adjacent to Binh Minh Street and Cua Lo Beach (about 4km), the work of arranging and preparing for the tourist season is the ward's top priority during this time.
According to the city's plan, the ward will have 6 shower spots and 4 free public parking spots (the city will manage 2 spots and the ward will manage 2 spots). Currently, the locality is coordinating with city units to speed up the progress to complete the items before the tourist season.
Through the discussion, Mr. Le Sy Chien - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said: Cua Lo beach tourism this year will have many new and free features for people and tourists to experience such as shower systems, parking lots, wifi network... The city is also directing construction units and localities to focus on construction, renovation, and strive to put these items into operation before April 15, 2025.
Previously, Vinh City People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1477/UBND-TC.KH on the policy of socializing coastal beautification to serve Cua Lo beach tourism activities.
Accordingly, the Vinh City People's Committee agreed with the proposal of the Vinh City Urban Management Board on the socialization of coastal beautification to serve Cua Lo beach tourism activities so that people can use the services for free: shower, toilet, parking lot. Currently, Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company is the unit participating in the socialization of these items.
Vinh City requires the design plan for maintenance, repair, upgrading, and embellishment of public items funded for investment to ensure synchronization and harmony with the general landscape of the beach, full functionality, and scale to meet the requirements for serving Cua Lo beach tourism activities in 2025.
The sponsored assets belong to the City People's Committee, and are handed over to the Vinh City Urban Management Board to receive and manage according to regulations. Vinh City also requires that the sponsored items be used for public purposes, serving the general public and tourists; not to organize business or collect money for any related activities or services until there is another decision from the competent authority.
According to the plan, in 2025, Vinh city strives to welcome 6.9 million visitors, of which 3.2 million are overnight visitors and 130,000 are international visitors. Revenue from tourism activities will reach 7,000 billion VND. Jobs will be created for 11,000 people. Training will be organized for 1,000 people. Currently, Nghe An province, Vinh city, the Center for Trade and Tourism Promotion, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism are focusing on promoting and attracting tourists to Cua Lo, creating a new and bright look for Cua Lo in the tourism year 2025.
