PL March 26, 2025 16:38

How have the contents of the driver's license point restoration test been revised according to the latest regulations? This is a question from Mr. Tran Van Tuan (Thai Hoa, Nghe An).

ReplyThe content of the driver's license point restoration test from January 1, 2025 is as follows:

Clause 3 of Article 1 of Circular 13/2025/TT-BCA amends Clause 1 of Article 6 of Circular 65/2024/TT-BCA, stipulating the content of the examination for restoring driver's license points as follows:

- The theoretical test of legal knowledge regarding road traffic order and safety is conducted using the set of theoretical questions used for testing and issuing driver's licenses for motor vehicles developed and issued by the Traffic Police Department (hereinafter referred to as the theoretical test of legal knowledge);

- Testing knowledge of traffic laws and regulations on road traffic safety through computer-simulated traffic scenarios approved and issued by the Ministry of Public Security (hereinafter referred to as simulated legal knowledge test).

Previously, according to Clause 1, Article 6 of Circular 65/2024/TT-BCA, the content of the legal knowledge test on road traffic order and safety for the purpose of restoring driver's license points included:

- The theoretical examination of legal knowledge regarding road traffic order and safety is conducted using theoretical test questions for driver's license issuance as prescribed by the Minister of Transport (hereinafter referred to as the theoretical examination of legal knowledge);

- Testing knowledge of traffic laws and regulations on road traffic safety through computer-simulated traffic scenarios as prescribed by the Minister of Transport (hereinafter referred to as simulated legal knowledge test).

Therefore, the legal knowledge test on road traffic order and safety for the purpose of restoring driver's license points will consist of two parts: a theoretical legal knowledge test and a simulated legal knowledge test.
