Car driver prosecuted for causing multiple accidents that left 1 person dead and then fled
The Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police has issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case of "Violating regulations on road traffic participation", continuing to investigate the cause of the traffic accident that caused serious consequences, killing 1 person on the evening of April 4.

Previously, at 6:45 p.m. on April 4, on Nghi Trung inter-commune road, Nghi Loc district, a 7-seat Mitsubishi car with license plate 37A - 482.52 driven by Tran Xuan Thuy (born in 1983, residing in hamlet 10, Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc district) collided with another car parked on the side of the road. After causing the accident, Tran Xuan Thuy drove the vehicle away from the scene.
While fleeing, Tran Xuan Thuy continued to drive his vehicle and crashed into a bicycle on a road in Nghi Lien commune, Vinh city, injuring one person.
Without stopping, the driver of the car continued to flee on National Highway 46B from Nghi Kim Commune (Vinh City) to Nam Dan at high speed. When passing through Khoa Da Hamlet, Hung Tay Commune (Hung Nguyen), the car caused a serious accident, killing a 32-year-old man, residing in Long Xa Commune, Hung Nguyen District, and injuring another person.

After causing the accident, the car driver continued to drive away even though only one front tire was left until he was arrested by the police and local people in Xuan Hoa commune (Nam Dan).
Tran Xuan Thuy's alcohol test result was 0.979 mg/liter of breath.
