According to TASS news agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview that for many years, Russia has been trying to "shake up" the West in the fight against attempts to erase history.

"We have been trying to shake them for many years now. Indeed, long before the special military operation, the tendency to erase and forget history, the attempts to put the victors and the vanquished on an equal footing, the attempts to weaken and downplay the role of the Soviet Union, they were carried out quite strongly and for a long time" – the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized.

“In my contacts with German diplomats over the past seven or eight years, perhaps at least, this thought has come up more and more often,” Lavrov said. “I will not quote, but convey what they conveyed to us: ‘Dear colleagues, we have paid everyone for everything. We no longer owe anyone anything.’ This is a very alarming appeal.”

For more than three years, the conflict in Ukraine has been no longer a military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but a war between Russia and the West.

Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, said the West has run out of tools to pressure Russia.

"I don't think we can continue to put pressure on Russia. I don't think we have any cards left to play. Where is the leverage? I don't see any," the expert warned. At the same time, Professor Diesen said that Russia is becoming stronger every day and will never give up its stated demands, no matter how Western countries try to threaten or impose their stance.
