Nghe An: Students taking the 10th grade entrance exam this year can change their wishes after the exam.
This is one of the contents implemented in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year of Nghe An province. However, the Department of Education and Training noted that the implementation needs to be considered to ensure the rights of candidates.
Today (April 10), the Department of Education and Training has just issued Document No. 796/SGD&DT-QLCL Nghe An on instructions for entrance exams.Grade 10High school year 2025 - 2026 with many important contents.
Accordingly, this year's exam will be conducted by the method of entrance exam and selection. Entrance exam for schools with the number of students registering for the first choice (NV1) to the school exceeding the enrollment quota for the 2025-2026 school year; selection for the remaining schools.
Particularly for schools under the Project "Piloting the construction of advanced kindergartens and general schools following the trend of international integration in Nghe An province, period 2021-2030" (attached to Decision No. 147/QD-UBND dated January 18, 2022 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee), admission is based on the selection method for classes implementing advanced models, and entrance exams for the remaining classes.
It is expected that the Department of Education and Training will announce the enrollment targets of the units and the list of schools registering for admission to the 2nd and 3rd wishes to the units before May 6, 2025.
Also according to the instructions of the Department of Education and Training, this year students taking the exam continue to register online on the VNEDU system at the link:http://nghean.tsdc.vnedu.vnRegistration period from May 7 - May 13, 2025.
In this exam, each candidate can register for a maximum of 3 wishes. Of which, wish 1 is to enter a high school (public, non-public) or a Continuing Education Center or a Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center; wish 2 is to enter a high school (public, non-public), a Continuing Education Center, a Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center that enrolls wish 2; wish 3 is to enter a high school (public, non-public), a Continuing Education Center, a Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center that enrolls wish 3.
In addition to the 3 above wishes, candidates wishing to register for classes implementing advanced school models following the international integration trend will be considered for admission based on: secondary school training and study results; results of international English and IT proficiency certificates; results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.
This year, the Department of Education and Training will continue to allow candidates to change NV1, NV2 and NV3 after the exam if they wish. The deadline for submitting applications to change wishes is 5:00 p.m. on June 6, 2025.
The Department of Education and Training also noted thatchange of wishOnly applies to candidates who have taken the entrance exam. During the implementation process, the admissions committee of the schools should remind students and parents to consider carefully before accepting applications to change their wishes. Candidates taking the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted are not allowed to change their wishes.
Previously, the change of wishes after the exam was also applied in previous exams. However, due to haste and anxiety, many parents and students changed their wishes in a rush, leading to a situation where many top schools lacked candidates. Meanwhile, the lower-ranking schools were overloaded, causing disadvantages for many candidates and disrupting the admission process in many schools.
According to the plan, this year's 10th grade entrance exam will be held on 2 days (June 3 and 4) with 3 subjects: Literature, Foreign Language (English - French) and Mathematics.
