Le Vai and his girlfriend had an argument after drinking together, and Vai demanded that she return the money he had borrowed earlier. During the heated exchange, Vai threw stones at his girlfriend's house and then used bamboo and wooden sticks to beat her, causing injuries.

On the afternoon of April 11th, the Office of the Investigation Agency of the Hue City Police announced that it had issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspect, and temporarily detain Le Vai (born in 1989, residing in Thuan An ward, Thuan Hoa district, Hue City) for the act of "intentionally causing injury".

Previously, Le Vai and a woman (whose name is being withheld, residing in Thuan An ward) had a romantic relationship. During their acquaintance, Vai helped the victim borrow 18 million VND.

On the evening of November 20, 2024, Le Vai and the victim were returning home after drinking when a conflict arose. Vai demanded that the victim repay the money he had previously lent him, leading to an argument. Vai threw stones at the victim's house and used bamboo and wooden sticks to beat the victim, causing injuries. Medical examination determined the victim's bodily harm to be 15%.
