USD/JPY exchange rate today 5/7/2025

The Japanese Yen (JPY) attracted fresh buying interest after a slight decline during the day and continued to gain against the US dollar for three consecutive sessions. The JPY's upward momentum was supported by several factors, especially after the Bank of Japan's (BoJ) decision to maintain a dovish stance last week.

Meanwhile, the USD remains under downward pressure as the market awaits the Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting (FOMC). This weakness further pushes the USD/JPY exchange rate down.
