Timely verification of bus driver intentionally opening car door and hitting motorcyclist

After receiving information that a bus driver opened the bus door and hit a motorcyclist while stopping at a red light at Vinh market intersection, the Vinh City Traffic Police team verified and handled the case.

According to information from the Vinh City Traffic Police Department, under the Nghe An Provincial Police Department, on the evening of May 10, the team received information reflecting that a bus driver intentionally opened the bus door and hit a motorcyclist while stopping at a red light at the Vinh market intersection.

The Vinh City Traffic Police Team has verified and invited the vehicle driver to come to work.

Here, the bus driver who committed the above violation confessed to being D.D.L (born in 1991), residing in Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district, Nghe An province, an employee of the Dong Bac bus company.

Along with admitting the violation at 7:00 p.m. on May 10, 2025, at Vinh market intersection, the driver was aware of his behavior and promised not to repeat the offense.

Currently, the Vinh City Traffic Police have drawn up a record to handle the violation against driver D.D.L according to the provisions of the law.

Previously, Nghe An Newspaper reported that on the evening of May 10, a clip went viral on social media, causing public outrage. The clip recorded a scene where a bus stopped at a red light at Vinh market intersection suddenly opened its door just as a motorcyclist carrying a woman and a child was moving close by.

According to the recorded image, along with uncultured words, the bus driver opened the bus door with the clear intention of causing the door to directly hit the driver and the person sitting on the motorbike.

The specific cause of the incident is unknown, however, immediately after the clip was shared, the online community strongly condemned the driver's behavior and requested that authorities quickly investigate and strictly handle the case if it is determined that there was intentional behavior that endangered traffic participants.
