Breaking up a multi-level marketing network of 9,000 people, trading trillions of dong from 'Ngưu Chương Chi' mushrooms

Authorities have just dismantled a transnational multi-level marketing ring, arresting 12 suspects and many related machines and equipment.

On May 21, Lang Son Provincial Police said that the unit had just coordinated with the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control, the Department of Investigation Security, the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Police to dismantle an extremely large-scale multi-level system that occurred in many localities across the country, with transaction amounts of thousands of billions of VND.

The case directly involved more than 9,000 people, including more than 7,000 Vietnamese and more than 2,000 Taiwanese and Malaysians participating in the above multi-level marketing system.

Initial investigation results determined that Mr. Huang Wen Yen (born in 1978, Taiwanese - Chinese nationality) is the director of Ame Global Company, directly managing the business system, marketing the product of Niu Zhang Chi mushroom (a functional food for health care) and helping to increase financial growth for participating customers.

This company is headquartered in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan - China and its subsidiary is WIN ALL Trading Company Limited (address: Room 1702, 17th floor, The 67 Building, Tan Phu Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City (called Ame Global Vietnam).

Ame Global Company implements the “growth consumption” model as follows: Participants open an account on their own website; then invest more than 14 million VND to get a product called “nguu chuong chi”.

The objects build a system of participants in a binary model, under each person will be arranged into 2 branches, the system is arranged up to 20 floors.

Participants who invest will receive 10% commission bonuses on total global sales every day (customers can receive up to 1,000 USD) without having to refer new participants.

From April 2024 to present, the subject has expanded its operations to involve more than 9,000 participants. The total amount of transactions on the bank account system is up to thousands of billions of VND.

Based on the initial investigation results, Lang Son Provincial Police have decided to prosecute and temporarily detain 12 defendants for violating regulations on multi-level marketing, including: Ngo Huu Thap (born in 1974, residing in Lang Son province), Lang Thi Thuy Dung (born in 1980, residing in Dong Nai province), Luu Quoc Ngoc (born in 1983), Tran Chan Quyen (born in 1988), Dam Vi Thinh (born in 1988), Tu Boi Dieu (born in 1993), Pham Tuan Phong (born in 1984), Tong Thi Hong Tham (born in 1982), Kim Vinh Hao (born in 1985), Dam Dieu Phat (born in 1989, all residing in Ho Chi Minh City), Dong Thi Minh Thang (born in 1982, residing in Thai Nguyen province), Nguyen Dang Bac (born in 1975, residing in Bac Ninh province).

In addition, authorities seized 1 car, 6 computers, 14 mobile phones, 2 iPads, 85 cartons containing nearly 15,000 medicine boxes, more than 2,000 bottles of Niu Chuong Chi of unknown origin, over 35,000 stamps and many machines and documents used in product processing.

Lang Son Provincial Police determined that this is a group of subjects operating in a multi-level criminal scheme on an especially large scale, involving many localities and operating across borders, the main subjects being Taiwanese, Chinese and Vietnamese of Chinese origin.

Lang Son Provincial Police are focusing on fighting and exploiting the subjects to consolidate documents and evidence. At the same time, they are expanding and clarifying the criminal acts of other related groups to strictly handle them according to regulations.

The authorities request that individuals and victims involved proactively contact Lang Son Provincial Police to report and provide information and documents to the authorities for handling according to regulations.

Pham Cong - Dam De
