There are strong developments in both quantity and quality.
Speaking at the workshop, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu sent the best wishes to the leaders, generations of journalists, scientists, and delegates; emphasizing that on June 21, 1925, in Guangzhou (China), President Ho Chi Minh founded Thanh Nien Newspaper - the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, the first newspaper of the Vietnamese revolution. This was not only a milestone marking its birth but also the beginning of the glorious journey of the Vietnamese revolutionary press over the past 100 years.

Since its inception, Thanh Nien Newspaper has clearly established its functions of propaganda, education and organization of action. The content of its articles not only raises political awareness but also arouses patriotism, encourages the spirit of struggle and directs readers towards the proletarian revolution.
Continuing the tradition of Thanh Nien Newspaper, publications such as Red Magazine, Struggle, People, Independent Vietnam, Liberation Flag… were born in turn under different historical conditions, suitable to the specific circumstances of each revolutionary period.
The revolutionary press has successfully completed its mission of political and ideological enlightenment, organizing and training forces, forming a combined strength, contributing to the August 1945 General Uprising, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
During the resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, revolutionary journalism became a special front in the overall comprehensive strategy of the Party. Under the rain of bombs and bullets, the team of revolutionary journalists did a good job of disseminating and propagating the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines, directly contributing to encouraging the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to overcome hardships and sacrifices, complete combat and combat service tasks, actively participate in propaganda, motivate the rear, and support the frontline in the struggle for national liberation.
Entering the period of innovation, in the context of the country's strong socio-economic development and international integration, the revolutionary press continues to promote its role as a driving force, not only propagating the Party and State's guidelines and policies but also deeply reflecting social reality; performing the function of policy criticism and orienting public opinion, the press has become a media channel reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the people, contributing to promoting democracy, promoting social dialogue in an open and healthy political and cultural environment.

Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu affirmed: After 100 years of establishment and development, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has made strong progress in terms of quantity, quality, programs, and publication content, and has initially mastered modern communication technology. Many press agencies have developed into multimedia press agencies on par with the region and the world, and the team of journalists is increasingly strong, steadfast in political will, good in professional skills, exemplary in professional ethics, and performing well in social responsibilities.
However, in addition to the positive aspects, the negative impact of the open market economy and the expansion of exchanges and cooperation has had a significant impact on the press and the Vietnamese press. The globalization process and the explosion of digital technology, artificial intelligence, social networks, etc. not only bring opportunities but also pose many challenges to revolutionary journalism.
Stick to viewpoints, policies, and guidelines; keep up with the breath of life and the times
To continue fulfilling its mission, accompanying the nation in the era of development, prosperity, civilization and prosperity, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu stated that press agencies nationwide need to thoroughly grasp and perform well a number of key tasks. Specifically, Party committees of press agencies and journalists' associations at all levels need to thoroughly and more deeply grasp the principle: The Party's absolute and comprehensive leadership of press activities to meet the needs of the cause of innovation, construction and development of the country. This is a core and fundamental issue that has been proven by the history of revolutionary journalism to be the essence of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism.

At the same time, the press must closely follow the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines; closely follow the breath of life and the times; regularly and continuously propagate major, important and urgent matters that the entire Party and the entire political system are currently focusing on organizing and implementing, such as: the revolution in arranging and streamlining the apparatus of the political system; the development of the socio-economy in the new era of development; breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; international integration in the new situation; the work of building and enforcing laws to meet the development requirements of the country.
Disseminate and reflect in-depth information, ensuring objectivity, timeliness and depth on activities to prepare for Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress. At the same time, promptly reflect the aspirations of cadres, Party members and the People.
Actively and resolutely carry out innovation, arrangement, and streamlining of the press agency system in the direction of streamlining - compactness - strength; continue to innovate, improve the quality, attractiveness, and persuasiveness in information and propaganda work of the press system. Each press agency must operate in accordance with its principles and purposes, focusing on summarizing practices, developing theories on the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, and the State's legal policies on publications, platforms, and types of press, especially on the Internet and social networks, contributing to protecting, building, and developing the country.
Special attention should be paid to the issue of professional ethics. Based on the regulations on press ethics, each press agency can issue its own regulations suitable to the characteristics of each type of press and the reality of its agency or unit.
Press agencies need to coordinate closely with journalists' associations at all levels, strengthen the management of their subordinate journalists in conjunction with the responsibilities of the leaders of press agencies and journalists' associations. Journalists must properly implement the principles and purposes of the press agency, focus on improving the quality, training, fostering, and cultivating the qualities, ethics, and working capacity of journalists and media workers.
Building a team of cadres, reporters, and editors of press agencies with strong political will, good professional skills, and clear professional ethics, who are truly exemplary, concise, and leading examples on all fronts, especially on the information and propaganda front to fight against peaceful evolution, self-evolution, and self-transformation within the organization.
Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu also noted the need to promote research, exploitation and application of scientific and technological achievements, digital transformation of journalism associated with administrative reform, building professional press agencies, operating effectively, efficiently and internationally./.
