Macron warns Asia about NATO's emergence
President Macron warned that NATO will expand its actions in Asia as North Korean troops appear in Europe.

According to RIA Novosti, Le Monde newspaper quoted French President Emmanuel Macron's statement at a Shangri-La conference held in Singapore on the evening of May 30 that NATO could expand its scope of action in Asia if China allowed the North Korean army to participate in events taking place in Europe.
"If China does not want NATO to be involved in Southeast Asian or Asian affairs, it must prevent the involvement of the North Korean army on European territory," President Macron said.
The French leader also urged China to prevent North Korea from supporting Russia in its conflict with Russia to prevent NATO from expanding its role in Asia.
President Macron warned of the consequences of abandoning Ukraine, as the US considers withdrawing troops from Europe and shifting to the Indo-Pacific. He said abandoning Ukraine would undermine the US’s credibility in preventing any potential conflict with China over the island of Taiwan.
Regarding the North Korean military, on April 26, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov, in a report to Russian President Vladimir Putin, highlighted the assistance of the DPRK in defeating the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. President Putin thanked the units of the Korean People's Army for their participation in defeating the Ukrainian troops who invaded the Kursk border region; emphasizing that they fulfilled their mission with honor and courage.
Mr. Putin also said that he personally expressed sincere gratitude to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and the entire leadership and people of North Korea. According to the President, the Russian people will never forget the feat of the North Korean army.
