Domestically, coffee prices have been falling in line with the global trend. Although Arabica prices have been rising slightly, the market has not shown any clear signs of recovery. Abundant supply and high inventories make it difficult for prices to rebound in the short term.

On the ICE exchange, as of May 27, Arabica coffee inventories reached their highest level in nearly 4 months, reaching nearly 892,500 bags. Robusta coffee inventories also reached their highest level in 8 months, reaching 5,438 lots.

In the context of rising transportation costs, experts advise farmers to closely monitor market fluctuations and consider the appropriate selling time to optimize costs and profits. Although coffee prices are currently under pressure, the long-term outlook remains positive thanks to global demand, especially from large markets such as Asia and North America, which is expected to grow strongly in the coming years.

World coffee prices today

World coffee prices fell slightly on two exchanges:

Robusta Coffee (London):

Delivery in July 2025: Down 56 USD/ton, to 4,510 USD/ton.

Delivery in September 2025: Down 57 USD/ton, to 4,463 USD/ton.

Arabica Coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Down 5.95 cents/lb, to 342.45 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Down 5.8 cents/lb, to 339.8 cents/lb.

Coffee prices continued to fall sharply, extending a four-day losing streak. Arabica coffee fell to a seven-week low, while robusta coffee fell to a six-and-a-half-month low. The main reason comes from high supply pressure, as the robusta coffee harvest in key producing countries such as Brazil is accelerating. In May, robusta prices fell by 17%. Brazil is currently the second largest producer of robusta coffee in the world, behind only Vietnam.

Brazil’s robusta coffee production this year could exceed initial forecasts, as yields in growing regions are higher than expected, agronomist Jonas Ferraresso said. Experts even said the crop could set a new record.

The USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) forecasts Brazil’s coffee production in 2025–26 to reach 65 million bags, up slightly by 0.5%. Vietnam is also expected to increase its production by 6.9% to 31 million bags.
