However, in the first days of joining the team, Alex Bui still encountered certain obstacles in the integration process. The difference in time zone, weather and language barrier prevented him from communicating much with his teammates. Sharing in the afternoon practice session on June 5, Alex Bui frankly expressed:

“I feel a bit tired, not used to the time zone and the weather is a bit hot, but I have to try to adapt. I want to help the team as much as possible, practice well and get to know my friends. I also want to wear the National Team shirt, but not right now.”

In the practice match with the Vietnam National Team on June 4, Alex Bui had his first taste of high-level competition. Although there are still many things to improve, the player born in 2005 still left a few positive impressions:

“Yesterday was my first match. I feel fine but I still have to work hard. The players of the National Team are all great, I feel very happy to have faced them. I like Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Hai Long and goalkeeper Filip Nguyen.”

Limited communication is one of the biggest challenges Alex is facing. “It’s hard to compare the atmosphere between the Czech Republic and here,” he said. “You know, I can talk to everyone in the Czech Republic, but here it’s not like that. I only talk a lot with Viktor Le. Sometimes my teammates ask me this and that, and I just give simple answers.”

However, Alex remained positive during his first days back in Vietnam: “I like being in Vietnam. I also like eating pho.”

After that, Alex joined the youth training system of Bohemians Praha 1905 Club, one of the prestigious football training centers in the Czech Republic. In the 2024/2025 season, before being called up to the Vietnam U22 Team, Alex played 16 matches in the Czech Second Division, scoring 2 goals and contributing 2 assists.
