Verifying the handling of the driver who carried many children in the back of a pickup truck
On June 13, Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 (Traffic Police Department - Nghe An Provincial Police) verified and handled a case of traffic safety violation after receiving information from the people.
Previously, a clip was circulated on social media recording a scene of a pickup truck carrying 8 children sitting in the back of the truck, moving in the middle of a crowded road. The image in the clip made public opinion indignant and worried about the level of danger to the children.
Through verification, the authorities identified the driver as NKL (born in 1999, residing in Chau Nhan Commune, Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An). At the police station, NKL admitted that at around 10:30 a.m. on June 13, at Km 02+500 on National Highway 46B, he drove a Ford pickup truck with license plate 37C-350.xx, carrying people in the truck bed against regulations.
This behavior seriously violates road traffic safety regulations, especially when the subject being transported is a child. The traffic police force has drawn up a record and handled it according to the law.
