The West is adding fuel to the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations argues that the West is "adding fuel" to the already escalating tensions in the Middle East.

According to RIA Novosti, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that the West has done everything to "add fuel to the flames of escalation" in the Middle East, inciting and encouraging Israel to take radical steps.
“The West has been pushing Israel to plan everything all this time, adding fuel to the fire of escalation, and in fact provoking Tel Aviv. Their creation of artificial tension on international platforms only encourages Israel to take radical steps, creating the illusion of permission in them,” said Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, at a UN Security Council meeting on June 13 (Washington time).
Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Said Irrawani, stated that Israeli attacks against Iran were carried out with the intelligence and political support of the United States.
"The Israeli regime, the world's most dangerous and terrorist regime, with full intelligence and political support from the US administration, has carried out a series of coordinated and deliberate military attacks in several Iranian cities," the Iranian representative said at the Security Council meeting.
"We will not forget that our people died as a result of Israeli attacks using American weapons. These actions amount to a declaration of war," Iran's Permanent Representative added.
According to CNN, citing Israeli sources, several other countries besides the US helped Israel repel Iran's retaliatory attack.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in a message to the country's citizens, called Israel's attacks on Iran a crime and said that Israel is facing a "bitter and terrible fate."
