From July 1, 2025, businesses without a VNeID will be blocked from accessing the tax system.
According to the new regulations in Decree 69/2024, from July 1, 2025, businesses are required to log into the electronic tax system using an electronic identification account integrated into the VNeID application.
Specifically, Clause 4, Article 40 of Decree 69/2024/ND-CP stipulates that accounts previously issued by the National Public Service Portal and the administrative procedure resolution systems at the ministerial and provincial levels will expire on June 30, 2025. From July 1, 2025, these accounts will no longer be able to access the electronic tax system.
The General Department of Taxation also clearly stated: The electronic tax system is located at this address.thuedientu.gdt.gov.vnLogin will only be allowed using the electronic identification account of the organization or business from July 1, 2025 onwards.

Accordingly, to avoid disruptions to services such as tax declaration, tax payment, and record lookup, businesses need to proactively register and use electronic identification accounts through the police agency, integrated with the VNeID application developed by the Ministry of Public Security.
The shift to electronic identification not only enhances security but also contributes to the standardization and synchronization of administrative data, ensuring a unified connection between businesses and government agencies.
The tax authorities advise businesses not to wait until the last minute, but to contact the police early to complete the registration procedures for their electronic organizational identity account, in preparation for electronic transactions after July 1, 2025.
