In response to the news that the Chairman of Z Holding Company, which produces Hiup powdered milk, was temporarily detained and prosecuted, MC Van Hugo said that she was deceived and affirmed that she would sue.

On the evening of June 19, VietNamNet reported that the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency decided to prosecute the case and temporarily detain the leadership of Z Holding Joint Stock Company for "Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences" and "Producing and trading in counterfeit food products".

The investigation results so far have sufficient grounds to determine that "HIUP 27 nutritional product" colostrum for height increase is packaged in boxes, cans of powdered milk including 3 types (420 grams, 650 grams and 800 grams) and some other liquid types produced at the Nature Made Trading and Production Joint Stock Company Factory from August 8, 2024 to March 5, 2025, which does not ensure the ingredients and nutritional content as stated in the "Product declaration registration form".

In response to the shocking information, MC Van Hugo - who was once fined for advertising the above milk product - responded on her personal page: "When the authorities confirmed that the product showed signs of not meeting standards from the batch produced in August 2024, I could not remain silent."

In the past, she accepted to advertise Hiup milk products because she believed in the series of legal documents and certificates of compliance provided by this company as well as her son's practical experience over many years.

After being administratively fined for misleading advertising of product uses, Van Hugo proactively asked businesses to stop using her image.

Similar to BTV Quang Minh, she also invited the Hanoi Department of Food Safety and Hygiene to check the product quality and received the test results as meeting the standards on May 27.

The female MC was upset, believing that she had been deceived and felt "her honor was seriously hurt and her trust was taken advantage of". She decided to hire a lawyer to sue this company, emphasizing that she would pursue the case to the end to protect herself and not want others to "make the same mistake".

"With all due respect, I apologize to anyone who believed my recommendations. I am not hiding. I take responsibility and choose to be transparent," she wrote.

Previously, BTV Quang Minh and MC Van Hugo were fined by the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) for violations in advertising activities. Specifically, Quang Minh was fined 37.5 million VND and Van Hugo was fined 70 million VND.
