Arrest of Chairman of GMT Water Joint Stock Company
Sy Anh Tuyen, Chairman of GMT Water Joint Stock Company and several other subjects were prosecuted by the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency for the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property.
On June 23, the Ministry of Public Security announced that the Security Investigation Agency had prosecuted and temporarily detained Sy Anh Tuyen (born in 1976, residing in Dong Yen commune, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi), Chairman of the Board of Directors of GMT Water Joint Stock Company and other subjects for the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 174 of the Penal Code.
Previously, on June 18, the Internal Political Security Department - Ministry of Public Security issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case of Fraudulent appropriation of property, occurring at GMT Water Joint Stock Company and related organizations, in Hanoi and other provinces and cities.
At the same time, the Internal Political Security Department transferred the case to the Security Investigation Agency - Ministry of Public Security for investigation according to its authority.
The above decisions and orders have been approved by the Supreme People's Procuracy according to regulations.
The Security Investigation Agency - Ministry of Public Security is investigating the case according to regulations.
