Nghe An handles 345 administrative violations in peak month against trade fraud and counterfeit goods
During the month of implementing the Peak Plan to implement Directive No. 13/CT-TTg and Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister, the market situation and commodity prices in Nghe An were basically stable, with no speculation, hoarding, or unreasonable price increases.

Implementing Directive No. 13/CT-TTg, Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg, Official Dispatch No. 72/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has established a Working Group of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the peak of the fight to prevent and repel crimes of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the province. According to the assessment, in the domestic market, the circulation and exchange of goods are guaranteed to take place smoothly, the supply of goods is abundant, rich in types, diverse in designs, meeting the needs and tastes of the people. Prices of essential goods such as food, foodstuffs, construction materials, agricultural supplies, etc. are still kept stable, there are no speculative fluctuations, hoarding, or unreasonable price increases in the area.
On land and sea borders, political security and social order and safety are basically stable. Import, export and entry activities of people, vehicles and goods are maintained by functional forces: Customs, Border Guard, Police and local authorities to closely monitor and inspect in accordance with procedures and regulations of the law.
Mr. Nguyen Van Huong - Head of the Market Management Department, Standing Agency of the Provincial Steering Committee 389 said: After 1 month of implementing the Peak Plan, according to the assessment, the work of combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the province has achieved some positive results. Forecasting and directing work has been focused on and implemented drastically, promptly and effectively; The Provincial People's Committee has issued 01 Decision, 02 Plans and other relevant directive documents to direct all levels, sectors and local authorities in the province to simultaneously launch peak campaigns to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods within the scope, area and management field.
The implementation of the peak month has initially created positive and clear changes to prevent, repel and gradually eliminate violations of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the area, not allowing fluctuations in supply and demand of goods prices, not allowing speculation, hoarding, and unreasonable price increases to occur as well as doing a good job of prevention and suppression to create a healthy business environment, stabilize social security, protect the rights and legitimate interests of businesses and people.

The work of inspection, control and handling of administrative violations and criminal cases was carried out with focus and key points in accordance with legal regulations; the number of inspections, the number of cases handled and the total value of fines collected during the peak period had many positive results, with cases with the value of violated goods reaching hundreds of millions of VND. Notably, there were typical projects and cases related to food safety that were discovered, arrested and strictly handled by the authorities, which were responded to and acknowledged by the masses.
In the difficult conditions, the methods and tricks of the subjects in the market are increasingly sophisticated, achieving the above results once again demonstrates the efforts and determination of the functional forces in carrying out political tasks, is a "bright" spot in the work of fighting smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods nationwide in the recent past.
The work of propagandizing, disseminating, instructing on the law, signing commitments not to trade in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods and infringing on intellectual property rights has been paid attention to by functional forces and local authorities, directed to be implemented extensively and practically in many forms, bringing about high practical efficiency.
The coordination of forces has been maintained more and more effectively and clearly, creating a combined strength in the process of inspecting and handling violations in the market, especially in typical cases, contributing to stabilizing the market, protecting consumer rights and promoting production and business development. The work of political and ideological education, tightening discipline, thoroughly grasping the viewpoint that there are no "forbidden zones" in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods has been focused on and strictly implemented.
Results of inspection and handling by functional forces in Steering Committee 389 of Nghe An province (from May 15 to June 14, 2025): Organized inspection and handling of administrative violations in 345 cases; prosecuted 02 cases/09 subjects (violations related to drugs). Total fines collected: 6.228 billion VND. Of which: Administrative fines: 2.416 billion VND; Additional fines and tax collection: 1.730 billion VND; Sales proceeds from confiscated goods: 201 million VND; Value of infringing goods: 1.881 billion VND.
Identifying no "no-go zones" in the struggle
To step up the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee directs functional forces and local authorities to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the directives of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the National Steering Committee 389 on the prevention of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; and the Prime Minister's directives on the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.
With the goal of fighting, preventing and pushing back, ending the situation of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the area; the functional forces and local authorities in the province must clearly identify that this is not an immediate task to be carried out only in 01 peak month but this is an important, regular and continuous political task; requiring the active participation of the entire political system and the whole society; need to mobilize all forces, deploy strong measures, handle strictly, no forbidden zones, no exceptions.
The functional forces have done a good job of infiltrating the base, identifying and grasping the situation, methods and tricks of the subjects, especially new methods and tricks; determining key routes, areas and subjects; strengthening professional measures, effectively combating the acts of producing, trading and transporting prohibited goods, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods and commercial fraud. Resolutely and strictly handling violators according to the provisions of the law. Not allowing hot spots and prominent problems to occur in the market.

Strengthen political and ideological education, tighten discipline, thoroughly grasp the viewpoint that there are no forbidden zones in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, resolutely transfer and discipline heads of agencies and units that show signs of covering up, assisting, tolerating or allowing smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods to occur in a complicated, serious and prolonged manner in the assigned management area.
In coordination work, it is necessary to promote the synchronous strength of the entire political system, and properly implement the coordination regulations on responsibilities and coordination relations between State management agencies in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods according to regulations.
