In the first 6 months of 2025, Nghe An attracted more than 16,400 billion VND in investment capital, of which nearly 300 million USD came from the FDI sector.

The above information was announced by the People's Committee of Nghe An province at the regular meeting of June 2025 held on the morning of July 1.

This result is considered positive in the context that Nghe An is restructuring its organizational apparatus, implementing a two-level local government model and is adversely affected by global trade fluctuations.

As of June 20, the province has approved investment policies and granted investment registration certificates to 32 projects, with a total registered capital of nearly VND6,635 billion. In addition, 83 projects have been adjusted, of which 25 projects increased capital by more than VND9,818 billion. The total newly granted and adjusted investment capital reached more than VND16,453 billion.

In the foreign investment sector, the province granted new FDI projects with a total registered capital of 76.2 million USD; adjusted capital increase for 7 projects, totaling 215.9 million USD. Total newly granted and adjusted FDI capital in nearly 6 months reached 292.1 million USD.

Some major projects that have been granted investment licenses during this period include: VSIP Nghe An III Industrial Park with 52.5 million USD; Sunny (Vietnam) smart optical technology production project at WHA Industrial Park with 11 million USD. In addition, some existing projects have also had their capital increased significantly, such as: Fu Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd. at WHA Industrial Park with an additional 150 million USD; Galax waste-to-energy plant with an increase of 2,928.8 billion VND; Andromeda export footwear processing factory at Hoang Mai I Industrial Park with an increase of 32 million USD.

The above results show that Nghe An's investment environment continues to improve significantly, creating positive momentum for a breakthrough in the second half of 2025, especially in the context that the province is promoting administrative reform, infrastructure development and operation of 2-level local government with a consistent, core and continuous guiding spirit: the new government must serve people and businesses better; quickly shift from the mindset of "administrative management" to the mindset of "serving and creating".
