Coffee prices today, July 5, 2025: Slightly increasing again.
Today, July 5th, domestic coffee prices are at 95,000 - 95,600 VND/kg, a slight increase of 300 to 400 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Although prices have shown a slight rise, they have not yet escaped the overall downward trend.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, July 5th, 2025, have slightly increased again, fluctuating between 95,000 and 95,600 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at the highest price of 95,600 VND/kg, a slight increase of 400 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 95,500 VND/kg, an increase of 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 95,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 95,000 VND/kg.
Vietnam's coffee exports in June achieved impressive results with 123,623 tons exported, generating revenue of US$716.74 million. According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), this represents a sharp increase of 63.7% in volume and a surge of 103.8% in value compared to the same period last year.
The average export price reached US$5220/ton, with Robusta coffee alone priced at US$5083/ton. In the first six months of 2025, Vietnam exported approximately 995,000 tons of coffee, generating over US$5.5 billion in revenue. This surpasses the export value of the entire year of 2024, which was considered a record year at US$5.48 billion.
However, the coffee market is facing potential challenges. Pressure from the large harvest in Brazil, coupled with a strong US dollar, is creating the risk that coffee prices could fall further in the near future.
On the positive side, coffee consumption demand in Europe and the US is recovering, which could support stable coffee prices in the medium term. This recovery offers hope for Vietnamese coffee exporters.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market showed mixed movements on the two exchanges:
Robusta coffee (London):
September 2025 delivery: Increased by $28/ton, to $3,655/ton.
November 2025 delivery: Increased by $22/ton, to $3,591/ton.
Arabica coffee (New York):
September 2025 delivery: Down 1.6 cents/lb, to 289.6 cents/lb.
December 2025 delivery: Down 1.2 cents/lb, to 284.15 cents/lb.
The global coffee market is experiencing significant volatility as prices for major coffee varieties continue to hit new lows. September arabica coffee futures have fallen to a record low since their listing, while the nearest July contract has also dropped to its lowest level in 7.5 months.
Robusta coffee prices are also experiencing a similar situation, with September futures hitting their lowest level in 1.25 years last week. However, this type of coffee is still receiving some support from inventory developments as supply is tightening.
Global coffee supplies are tightening due to a prolonged production deficit spanning several years. The primary cause is believed to be extreme weather conditions severely impacting key producing regions worldwide, putting upward pressure on coffee prices in recent times.
