Identity of the family of the victim from Khanh Hoa in the Doc Lap apartment fire that killed 8 people in Ho Chi Minh City
The fire at Doc Lap apartment building (old Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City) killed 8 people, including a family of 4.
On the morning of July 7, Ho Chi Minh City Police forces coordinated with Phu Tho Hoa Ward authorities to continue to block off and examine the scene of a serious fire at Doc Lap Apartment Building, located at 80/7 Do Doc Long Street, Phu Tho Hoa Ward (old Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City). The fire killed 8 people.

Among the victims was a family of four including Mr. N.D.D. (born in 1985, from Khanh Hoa), Mrs. D.TNA (born in 1987, from Ninh Binh - Mr. D.'s wife), and two children, a boy PK (born in 2014) and a girl PNA (born in 2018).
Mr. D.'s family lives with an old woman, but because the whole family went on vacation a few days ago, they sent her to a relative's house. On the afternoon of July 5, the family returned home, but because they were still tired, they had not picked up the old woman yet, so when the fire broke out, she was not present at the scene and luckily escaped.
Early this morning, the victims' bodies were transferred to Thong Nhat Hospital and Tan Phu Hospital for forensic work, then taken to Binh Hung Hoa morgue. Authorities are still verifying the identities of the remaining four victims.

According to official reports, at 9:30 p.m. on July 6, a serious fire broke out on the ground floor of Doc Lap Residence, a 5-story building located in alley 80, Do Doc Long Street, Phu Tho Hoa Ward, Tan Phu District (HCMC).
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force of Ho Chi Minh City Police quickly coordinated with functional units to deploy fire fighting and rescue work, promptly controlling the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring areas.
Although three people were rescued from the fire, the incident still left extremely serious consequences: 8 people died, including 6 adults and 2 children. Many properties and vehicles were also completely burned.
On the morning of July 7, at 7:00 a.m., Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, was present at the scene to directly direct the work of overcoming the consequences. Here, he expressed his deep condolences to the families of the victims and provided initial emergency support. After surveying the scene, he requested the authorities to quickly verify the cause of the fire and clarify the responsibilities of related organizations and individuals.
In the face of this great loss, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee expressed its deepest and most sincere condolences to the victims' families, and affirmed that this is an irreparable pain, leaving damage not only to the families but also to the community and the city government.
