Pursuant to Clauses 26, 27, 28, 29, Article 1 of Resolution 1678/NQ-UBTVQH15 in 2025, there are regulations on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Nghe An province in 2025 as follows:
Article 1. Arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Nghe An province
Pursuant to Project No. 343/DA-CP dated May 9, 2025 of the Government on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Nghe An province in 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly decided to arrange to establish commune-level administrative units of Nghe An province as follows:
26. Arrange the entire natural area and population size of Hung Nguyen town and the communes of Hung Dao, Hung Tay, and Thinh My into a new commune called Hung Nguyen commune.
27. Arrange the entire natural area and population size of the communes of Hung Yen Bac, Hung Yen Nam and Hung Trung into a new commune called Yen Trung commune.
28. Arrange the entire natural area and population size of the communes of Hung Linh, Long Xa, Thong Tan and Xuan Lam into a new commune called Hung Nguyen Nam commune.
29. Arrange the entire natural area and population size of Chau Nhan, Hung Nghia, Hung Thanh and Phuc Loi communes into a new commune called Lam Thanh commune.
Thus, based on the above regulations, the 6 new communes of Nghe An Province formed from Hung Nguyen District (old) after the arrangement include:
