Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee organized a gratitude journey to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 12, a delegation of leaders, officials, civil servants, and employees of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department organized a journey of gratitude.
The delegation visited and offered flowers and incense at the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua - Yen Island in Phu Trach commune, Quang Tri province (Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, former Quang Binh province).
The delegation also offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Truong Son - Quang Tri National Martyrs' Cemetery (where more than 10,263 martyrs' graves are gathered, of which 1,297 are martyrs' graves from Nghe An province); offered incense and flowers at the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery (where more than 10,800 martyrs' graves are gathered, of which about 220 are from Nghe An) and at the Quang Tri Citadel, where heroic martyrs fell in the 81-day and night battle in 1972 to protect the Citadel and Quang Tri town during the resistance war against the US to save the country.
Comrades: Nguyen Van Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Committee; Vo Minh The - Standing Deputy Head of the Committee; Pham Vu Cuong - Deputy Head of the Committee, and comrades in the working delegation respectfully laid wreaths, offered incense, and expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions and heroic sacrifices of the heroic martyrs for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and the happiness of the people.
In a solemn, emotional and grateful atmosphere, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee pledged to continue to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition, unite, uphold the sense of responsibility, excellently complete assigned tasks, contribute to building a clean and strong Party organization, and make Nghe An province increasingly prosperous, beautiful and civilized.
