Ha Long Bay temporarily suspends passenger ships from July 20, Ninh Binh tightens tourism safety before storm No. 3
Faced with the complex developments of storm No. 3 (Wipha), many localities have proactively deployed response measures. In Quang Ninh, passenger ships visiting Ha Long Bay were forced to stop operating from July 20.
The Quang Ninh Province Waterway Port Authority and Inland Waterway Vehicle Registration Authority have issued a document requesting the temporary suspension of issuing permits to leave ports and wharves for all tourist transport vehicles on Ha Long Bay and island routes from July 20.
This regulation does not apply to ships returning to the mainland to drop off passengers. The Port Authority also requires its affiliated units to closely monitor weather developments and promptly notify vehicle owners and captains to proactively ensure safety and not be negligent in the face of the storm's impact.

In Ninh Binh, the Department of Tourism has issued an official dispatch directing tourist areas and spots to deploy effective storm prevention plans, not to be subjective and to prioritize the lives of tourists.
Accordingly, when there is bad weather, sightseeing activities must be stopped immediately, and tourists, travel agencies and authorities must be notified.
Units are required to arrange rescue forces and equipment at key locations, publicize hotline numbers, install danger warning signs, and organize first aid training for staff.
Accommodation and tourism service establishments must check and reinforce infrastructure, prepare necessities and arrange staff to be on duty 24/7 during storms, while also updating weather conditions and providing safety instructions to guests.
