For not complying with regulations on operating areas, a jet ski service business in Cua Lo ward (Nghe An) has just been fined 25 million VND by local authorities.
Accordingly, the penalized entity is Ngoc Bao Kien Company Limited, with a registered business address in Vinh Tan block, Cua Lo ward (Nghe An). This is one of the licensed jet ski business entities in Cua Lo ward.
However, on July 11, 2025, this unit's jet ski operated in an unauthorized area. It was then fined by the Jet Ski Inspection Team of Cua Lo Ward People's Committee.
On July 19, 2025, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo Ward issued Decision No. 85/QD-XPHC, imposing an administrative penalty on Ngoc Bao Kien Company Limited for failing to meet the requirements for the operating area for each sport (taking jet skis to pick up and drop off passengers outside the operating dock), as stipulated in Decree No. 46/2019/ND-CP dated May 27, 2019 of the Government regulating administrative penalties in the field of sports. The administrative penalty that this unit must pay is 25 million VND.
Previously, to rectify the situation of jet skis frequently speeding, approaching the beach area to solicit visitors, potentially causing accidents for bathers, the leaders of Cua Lo Ward People's Committee directed the implementation of many measures to rectify tourism business activities, focusing on thoroughly handling the situation of jet skis operating spontaneously, causing unsafety for tourists on the beach.
According to Mr. Phung Duc Nhan - Vice Chairman of Cua Lo Ward People's Committee: Currently, the locality has put up signs, organized 3 pick-up and drop-off points and publicized the price of jet ski services. In case of intentional violations, the Ward People's Committee will strictly handle them, in order to build a civilized and safe tourism environment.
