After treating his wound, Iran's President declared he was ready to attack Israel again.
President Pezeshkian said Iran is ready to respond to Israel if they continue the attacks.
According to RIA Novosti on July 23, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in an interview with Al Jazeera TV channel that Tehran is ready to respond with attacks on Israel if they decide to continue attacks on Iranian territory.
"We are ready for any military action by Israel, and our forces are fully combat-ready to strike deep into Israeli territory. Israel attacked us seriously, but we also responded with strong, large-scale attacks," Al Jazeera TV channel quoted the Iranian President as saying.
Mr. Pezeshkian called all talk of completing Iran's nuclear program "illusory," noting that Tehran is not seeking war, but ultimately does not rely on a ceasefire.
"Israel tried to change Iran, destroy it from within through chaos and attacks on the power system, but was defeated," the Iranian president added.
However, Mr. Pezeshkian said, Iran agreed with the statements of US President Donald Trump about the inadmissibility of Tehran's nuclear weapons, while emphasizing that uranium enrichment on Iranian territory will continue within the framework of international law.
“President Trump said that Iran should not have nuclear weapons, and we agree with this,” the Iranian president said.
He added that "uranium enrichment on Iranian territory will continue in the future within the framework of international law."
According to Mr. Pezeshkian, Iran will not tolerate threats and orders regarding its nuclear program.
President Pezeshkian gave his first television interview since the 12-day Iran-Israel military confrontation and treated his injuries in the aftermath of Israeli bombings.
