Nghe An won 2 Gold Medals at the 2025 National Youth Sepak Takraw Championship

At the 2025 National Youth Sepak Takraw Championship, the Nghe An Youth Sepak Takraw team performed excellently, ranking second overall in the age group from 17 to 20.

The tournament took place from July 15 to July 25 at the Dong Thap Province Multi-purpose Gymnasium, with the participation of 220 athletes from 12 strong units nationwide, including Hanoi, Bac Ninh, People's Public Security, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Can Tho and Dong Thap.

Athletes compete in two age groups, 16 and under and 17 to 20 years old, with a total of 20 events. This year, the mixed men's and women's hoop technique event was included in the competition program for the first time, contributing to enriching the content and enhancing the professionalism of the tournament.

At the end of the tournament on the evening of July 23, the Nghe An team won 2 Gold Medals. The athletes who brought home Gold Medals for the Nghe An team included: Tran Duc Manh - Ta Danh Bach (men's doubles) andDao Thi Kim Oanh - Truong Thanh Thao(women's doubles)

In addition, the athletes also brought home two Silver Medals in the mixed male-female 4-person team and mixed male-female Hoop technique events.

With this outstanding achievement, Nghe An has risen to second place in the overall delegation in the age group from 17 to 20. This is an encouraging result, demonstrating the right and effective investment in training young athletes of the province, while affirming the increasingly solid position of Nghe An Sepak Takraw in the national arena.
