A notable point in the 2025 admissions is the significant reduction in the minimum score threshold for admission using high school graduation exam results.
The current floor score is set at 15 and 16 points, significantly lower than the highest threshold of 22 points in 2024.

With the goal of enrolling 5,500 students, an increase of 200 compared to 2024, the school continues to expand its training scale to 34 standard majors, 17 high-quality programs and 5 international joint programs.

Ho Chi Minh City Open University continues to maintain a diverse and flexible admission method, including admission based on high school exam results, Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment Test (HCMNAU), University Entrance Assessment Test (V-SAT) organized by the university, international certificates (IB, A-Level, SAT), high school academic results (transcripts), and direct/priority admission methods.
To ensure fairness and consistency between methods, the school has issued clear rules and score conversion formulas, especially for V-SAT and GPA scores, while the conversion of transcript scores will be announced later.
