After the flood receded, Muong Xen commune (Nghe An) was in disarray. Mud and wood from upstream piled up meters high made flood recovery work difficult. This morning, July 24, hundreds of people from the blocks and villages flocked to the affected areas to lend a helping hand.

Notably, more than 300 people from Huoi Giang 1, 2, 3 and Lu Thanh villages (former Tay Son commune) did not hesitate to overcome difficulties, crossing more than 10km of forest road, carrying hoes and shovels, and rolling up their sleeves to share with the damaged areas. "Maybe the child also understands the hardship of his mother and the loss of the people, so he is very obedient" - Ms. Y Lu shared.
