Due to the impact of Typhoon Wipha, widespread heavy rains and floods from Laos caused thousands of houses in communes on the border of Nghe An to be deeply submerged. To date, many communes are still flooded, cut off from traffic, and difficult to access.
Under the direction of the Ministry of Science and Technology, since July 23, Viettel Networks has opened roaming, connecting telecommunication waves so that users of all networks can communicate via Viettel waves in isolated areas. Specifically, Viettel has opened roaming in 16 communes in the border area of Nghe An and today (July 24) continued to add 11 more communes, bringing the total number of communes roaming into the Viettel network to 27, ensuring that mobile subscribers in these areas can maintain stable operations; meeting the needs of communication, rescue and relief.

Currently, Viettel is still focusing on mobilizing maximum resources and good personnel, mobilizing more than 60 rescue and incident handling teams from provinces and cities to support and restore the network system as quickly as possible, meeting the communication needs of people and the rescue and relief operations of local authorities in areas affected by floods./.
