This is also an opportunity for today's generation to express their profound gratitude for the noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, especially those who laid down their lives on the historic Truong Bon land.
To commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the evening of July 26, at the Truông Bồn National Historical Site (Bạch Hà commune), the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province, in coordination with the Political Department of Military Region 4 and the Provincial Military Command, organized a ceremony to lay flowers, offer incense, and light candles in gratitude to remember and express profound appreciation to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Attending the ceremony were: Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, and President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province; Colonel Tran Dang Khoa - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command; Colonel Bui The Ky - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department, Political Department, Military Region 4; along with a large number of officers, soldiers, and youth union members.

The program took place in a solemn and respectful atmosphere. Before the spirits of the 13 young volunteer soldiers of Company 317 who bravely sacrificed their lives at Truong Bon on the morning of October 31, 1968, the delegates performed the flag-raising ceremony, observed a moment of silence, laid flowers and incense, and lit candles.gratitudeand place lanterns on the graves of the martyrs.

The program also features cultural performances deeply rooted in revolutionary traditions, aiming to spread messages of patriotism, noble sacrifice, and the indomitable spirit of Vietnamese youth.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy - Member of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, and President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province - emphasized: "The candle-lighting ceremony of gratitude is not only an opportunity to express the principle of 'Drinking water, remembering the source,' but also a profound lesson about patriotism and the responsibility of today's young generation towards the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland."
