Nghe An won 4 medals at the 2025 'Green Race' National Swimming and Rescue Competition

From July 21 to 28, in Kon Tum ward (Quang Ngai province), the Department of Physical Training and Sports (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province to organize the National Swimming Competition for drowning prevention for children and students "Green Race" in 2025.

This year's tournament gathered 744 athletes from 30 delegations from provinces, cities and clubs across the country, competing in the following events: swimming, diving, learning about safe swimming knowledge, drowning rescue skills games, and preventing drowning for children.

Nghe An delegation participated with 10 athletes, one of the delegations with the fewest athletes in the tournament. However, Nghe An athletes competed with great effort and achieved impressive results: 2 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals.

Among them, athlete Le Quynh Anh excellently won the Gold Medal in the 100m breaststroke for women in the 9-11 age group, and the Silver Medal in the 50m breaststroke for women in the same age group.

Athlete Ho Phi Trinh won the Gold Medal in the rescue event (25m freestyle - 25m rescue) and the Silver Medal in the 50m breaststroke event.

This is a remarkable result for the efforts of the students - athletes as well as the training and education of the Nghe An high-performance sports sector in the field of preventing and combating school drowning accidents - one of the current key physical education goals.

Minh Quan
