Vietnam women's team wins ticket to AFF Cup 2025 semi-finals with big win over Indonesia
The Vietnamese women's team showed their overwhelming strength when they crushed the Indonesian women's team with a score of 7-0. This victory helped coach Mai Duc Chung and his team to soon win a ticket to the semi-finals of the AFF Cup 2025.
On the evening of August 9, at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong), the Vietnamese women's team had a match against Indonesia in the group stage of the AFF Cup 2025.
Right after the opening whistle, the Vietnamese women's team proactively pushed their formation up high, organized high-level pressing and continuously penetrated the two wings. Although coach Mai Duc Chung rotated his squad, giving many reserve players a chance to play, the white team still completely dominated in terms of ball possession time and the number of opportunities created.

The opening goal came in the 24th minute, when Bich Thuy received a favorable pass in the penalty area and fired a shot with not too much force. However, Indonesian goalkeeper Masykuroh failed to catch the ball, allowing it to roll over the goal line.
Just four minutes later, Hoang Thi Loan crossed the ball into the penalty area, Bich Thuy rushed in, making the opposing goalkeeper confused, and the ball went straight into the net, raising the score to 2-0.

In the second half, the overwhelming attacking play was still maintained. In the 69th minute, from a corner kick on the right wing by Ngan Thi Van Su, Hai Yen jumped high and headed the ball dangerously, raising the score to 3-0. Just two minutes later, Van Su directly scored when he accelerated on the left wing and unexpectedly shot diagonally, leaving the Indonesian goalkeeper no time to react, raising the score to 4-0.

The final minutes of the match were a fiery performance from the attacking players. In the 85th minute, Tuyet Dung accurately crossed the ball for Hai Yen to control neatly and finish decisively, completing her personal double.
In the 89th minute, Tuyet Dung created a masterpiece when she got past at least five Indonesian players before curling the ball beautifully, raising the score to 6-0. Exactly in the 90th minute, this veteran midfielder continued to show off his personal technique, dribbling past three opposing players and then unleashing a powerful right-footed shot, sealing a 7-0 victory.

At the end of the match, the Vietnamese women's team won both group stage matches, scoring 12 goals and not conceding any. The big win over Indonesia not only helped coach Mai Duc Chung's team to book an early ticket to the semi-finals of the AFF Cup 2025, but also created a strong psychological momentum for the journey to conquer the throne./.
