In the spirit of "mutual love", on August 10, a working delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department went to Nghe An to organize humanitarian medical examinations and provide free medicine to people in the areas affected by storm No. 3 at Tuong Duong Medical Center and Ky Son Medical Center.

The working delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department was led by Dr. Vu Xuan Dan - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control.
The delegation included 27 doctors, nurses and environmental engineers from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control, Oncology Hospital, Binh Dan Hospital, Children's Hospital 2, Dermatology Hospital, and Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital.

To serve the humanitarian medical examination and treatment for people affected by storm No. 3 in Nghe An province, the working group of the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department brought along many equipment, machines and more than 30 categories of medicine and chemicals to kill mosquitoes, disinfect and clean the environment after floods.

Within the framework of the health care program for people in the area affected by storm No. 3, doctors, nurses and environmental engineers of the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department delegation performed general examinations, specialized examinations in Surgery, Pediatrics, Oncology, Dermatology, Ear, Nose and Throat and provided free medicine to people.
Medicines provided to people include many types of medicine to prevent and fight epidemics (dermatitis, diarrhea, dengue fever), water disinfection tablets and other essential health necessities.

At the same time, the working group also coordinated environmental sanitation activities, sprayed disinfectants to prevent epidemics; communicated and instructed people on personal hygiene skills, self-care and disease prevention after floods.
On August 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department delegation provided free medical examinations and medicine to 600 people. On this occasion, the delegation also provided equipment to medical examination and treatment facilities that were severely affected by the storm and gave gifts to people affected by storms and floods.

Previously on August 1, the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department, through the VNVC vaccination system, donated 10 sets of computers to medical facilities in the western Nghe An region affected by storms and floods. Immediately after receiving them, the Nghe An Health Department promptly handed over these 10 sets of computers to the Tuong Duong Medical Center so that the unit could serve the medical examination and treatment of the people.
It is known that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and the Nghe An Provincial Department of Health are the two units that signed a cooperation agreement on May 8, 2024. Accordingly, in the past time, the two health departments have had comprehensive cooperation in the field of health development, focusing on prioritizing cooperation and supporting the training of quality human resources.

Support the transfer of high technology and techniques to help improve the capacity of medical examination and treatment at provincial hospitals in Nghe An province; cooperate to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of disease prevention and control; improve the capacity of the grassroots health system and community health.
