Born in 1991 in Bac Lieu, Dang Thu Thao's childhood was marked by hardship. She had to work at a supermarket in Can Tho to earn money to pay for her tuition and pursue her dream of going to school. With her charming face and perfect figure (1.73m tall, measurements 83-60-90cm), she won the Miss Mekong Delta 2012 title and then went on to be crowned Miss Vietnam in the same year.

Unlike many beauty queens who represent Vietnam in international competitions after winning the crown, Dang Thu Thao chose a different path. She continued her studies and officially earned her master's degree in March 2017. Later that year, the beauty queen married Tin Nguyen, one of the prominent young entrepreneurs in Ho Chi Minh City.
Trung Tín, born in 1987, holds a Master's degree in Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is currently the CEO of a large real estate corporation. The couple dated for three years before getting married.
In 2018, her first daughter Sophie was born, followed by her son Liam in 2020. In October 2024, Dang Thu Thao happily announced that her family had welcomed a new member.
Since getting married, Dang Thu Thao has almost completely withdrawn from the entertainment industry to devote herself entirely to caring for her husband and children. Her few social media posts always exude a sense of peace and tranquility.
