Speedily and resolutely complete preparations for the 80th National Day Exhibition
The Government Office issued Document No. 418/TB-VPCP dated August 12, 2025 announcing the conclusion of the Government Standing Committee on preparations for organizing the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.
The announcement stated: The Government Standing Committee commends the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vingroup Corporation, International Consultants, participating groups and individuals for their great efforts in a short time, although still behind schedule, but has basically completed the identity sets to be able to carry out the implementation simultaneously,... Highly appreciate the spirit of both construction and design while racing against time, however, it is necessary to be more active, faster, and more rapid to ensure quality, deadlines and requirements. After the Exhibition, a preliminary summary will be held, with appropriate spiritual and material rewards, worthy of the achieved results and in accordance with regulations.
The Exhibition of 80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness is an event of special significance, large scale, rich content, a big task, a difficult task, unprecedented, short time, high requirements. Participating in and organizing the Exhibition is an honor, pride and responsibility of ministries, branches, localities and enterprises. Therefore, all ministries, branches, localities and enterprises must proactively and actively participate in the Exhibition with the highest sense of responsibility to be worthy of the stature and revolutionary cause of 80 years of fighting for national independence, national unification, building and defending the Fatherland, ensuring inclusiveness, comprehensiveness, objectivity, thrift and efficiency.
Exhibition design shows the nation's stature and position after 80 years of development
The Government Standing Committee requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to focus on directing and closely coordinating with Vingroup Corporation and International Consultants to carefully review and absorb the opinions of the Government Standing Committee and delegates attending the meeting, continue to research and perfect the overall identity design plan to meet the requirements, create momentum, motivation, and inspire the whole nation, international friends, and tourists, and be a destination for the People and tourists during the Exhibition; in which the following contents should be noted:
On general guiding ideology,The requirement is to clearly express the ideology of 80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness, to have a unique common identity design, and at the same time to demonstrate the unique characteristics, encourage the creativity of localities, agencies, units, and enterprises participating in the Exhibition to promote the creativity and uniqueness of ministries, branches, agencies, localities, and enterprises; to ensure the common ideology of exhibiting outstanding and proud achievements throughout the 80 years of building and developing the country; in the common spirit of saving, efficiency, promoting the creativity of the people, the uniqueness and uniqueness of each locality, agency, unit, and clearly demonstrating the stature and position of the country after 80 years to create more motivation to inspire the whole nation to enter the era of wealth, civilization, prosperity, and happiness.
About color,The main colors are red and yellow, the color of the red flag with yellow star symbolizes the revolutionary cause of the Party, the independence, the declaration of independence of our country; decorate and beautify with a suitable green color; the number 80 symbolizes 80 years, so it must be shown in the correct yellow color of the Yellow Star on the National Flag.
About the ratio,The architectural space of the Exhibition is very large, so the proportion in architecture is very important, the works, welcome gates, billboards, posters, etc. must have appropriate proportions, commensurate with the space, exploiting the large space of the Exhibition to the maximum. Request Vingroup Corporation to exploit the space to the maximum, arrange some large banyan trees at the main gates; note the decoration to be prominent and harmonious, lively, and safe. Add outdoor areas, flower gardens and ornamental plants.
About the language of expression,The audience for the Exhibition is very diverse, including both Vietnamese and international visitors. It is required to add other languages on billboards and advertising posters, with priority given to displaying the 5 common languages used by the United Nations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is assigned to work directly and coordinate with the International Consultant to arrange a standing language team at the Exhibition.
Harmonious and symmetrical arrangement between the private enterprise sector and the state enterprise sector to honor and complement each other's values
On national characteristics, requiring the delivery of messages in the form of images, billboards, posters... that are easily recognizable, worthy of national stature, and appropriate to important timelines and events.(For example, 1945 is associated with the image of Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence; 1954 is associated with the Dien Bien Phu Victory that resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world; 1975 is associated with the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, with the image of tanks entering the Independence Palace; 1986 is associated with the 6th National Party Congress, with the image of General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh; from 1986 to now, what are the outstanding achievements, technologies, and symbolic works that need to be carefully studied, such as the highway system, coastal roads, Long Thanh airport, the elimination of temporary houses and dilapidated houses, etc.).
About National Day,must ensure the requirements of both expressing the excitement of the festival atmosphere and being solemn, propaganda and agitation while being festive; expressing the national character combined with modernity, internationalizing national culture and nationalizing world civilization culture; creating a colorful festival atmosphere at the Exhibition Center; in which, it is noted that sound and light must be harmonious, with music programs, musical activities, entertainment imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity, creating great influence. Research and arrange some more large LED screens at the main gates to combine announcements of the exhibition's program of activities, maps and directions to places for eating, living, entertainment, medical, hygiene and related information, at the same time combining music and light projections to create excitement.
About the Private Enterprise Exhibition Area,Call on large enterprises to participate in the private sector "Starting up the nation" in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 68 on the private economy being the most important driving force of the national economy. Consider arranging the private enterprise sector in harmony with the state enterprise sector (including large state enterprises, state commercial banks, etc.) in the Exhibition area, both honoring and complementing each other's values. At the same time, with the spirit that this is not only a place to display the Exhibition but also a place for exchange, cooperation, and contract signing, request to arrange more conference rooms so that domestic and foreign enterprises can participate in the Exhibition and exchange, meet, and sign contracts. There is a Working Group assigned to the Steering Committee to organize a department to connect enterprises, preside over arranging the seminar program, signing contracts, etc.
About the areas "Aspiration for the sky", "Reaching out to sea", "Going underground",It is necessary to ensure the requirements of effectively exploiting sky space and sea space; there is already "aspiration for the sky" and "reaching out to sea", it is necessary to "go underground" (developing subways, developing underground space, exploiting coal, minerals, rare earth, etc.); design vivid symbols of "aspiration for the sky", "reaching out to sea", "going underground".
Consider extending the Exhibition duration if requested by the public.
About competition and rewards,The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to research and develop a plan for organizing scoring and giving rewards, creating a competitive movement in organizing the Exhibition; clearly announcing the scoring of the Jury and the Organizing Committee and giving spiritual and material rewards, along with appropriate awards according to regulations, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, promoting creativity and originality; in addition, there shall be appropriate secondary awards (such as: Most unique display area; Best dish; Best explanation, etc.). The Steering Committee must direct serious implementation and assign tasks in the spirit of"6 clear: clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results".
About landscape, logistics, facilities,Request Vingroup Corporation to focus on investing in and arranging the landscape solemnly and beautifully, with grass, flowers, ornamental plants, etc.; coordinate with Hanoi City Police to arrange traffic organization plans, traffic flow of vehicles and visitors in the Exhibition area; arrange information booths, reception, food and beverage services, sanitation, ensure environmental sanitation, security, order, and health; arrange technical support personnel, machinery and equipment, ensure electricity, water and other conditions to serve the Exhibition, convenient and effective, satisfying visitors.
About advertising at the Exhibition,Requesting Corporations and General Corporations (Vingroup, Hoa Phat, Thaco, Sungroup, ...) to advertise their key products and projects in the Exhibition space. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism urgently reviews and, in case there is still empty space, requests to assign large Corporations and General Corporations, State-owned companies, and private corporations to make beautiful advertisements, with the right proportions and colors suitable for the overall space of the Exhibition.
About the Exhibition Time,First, set aside 9 days, from August 28, 2025 to September 5, 2025, during which time there will be evening art performances; consider extending the duration of the Exhibition in case people have wishes, still have needs and must have a management and organization plan suitable to conditions, payment capacity, appropriate funding sources, in accordance with regulations (if it must be extended according to the needs and wishes of the people, it must not exceed 3 days).
