The First Congress of the Yen Trung Commune Party Committee, for the 2025-2030 term, is taking place in the context of the whole country entering a new era of development with a strong aspiration for progress. Yen Trung commune is an area formed by the merger of three communes: Hung Yen Bac, Hung Yen Nam, and Hung Trung, from the former Hung Nguyen district.
During the 2020-2025 term, local Party committees focused on innovating leadership methods, leveraging the strength of the entire political system, and achieving many outstanding results.
The economy continues to maintain a relatively comprehensive growth rate. The total value of production in 2025 is estimated to reach over 2,091 billion VND, exceeding the target set by the congress. The average growth rate is 7.84% per year, placing it among the highest in the communes of the former Hung Nguyen district.
The results of the new rural development program are quite positive. The people are not only beneficiaries but have become active participants, contributing to discussions, donating land, and providing labor and resources to fulfill the new rural development criteria. "That is the strength of unity that has created the face of Yen Trung today," shared Comrade Hoang Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Yen Trung Commune Party Committee.

The economic structure is shifting in a positive direction: Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries account for 37.63%; industry and construction 36.36%; and services and trade 26.01%.
As a result, the labor structure has gradually changed, aligning with the general development trend. This is a significant achievement considering the difficult starting point of the communes before the merger. In particular, the shift in economic structure has opened up new directions, reducing dependence on agriculture alone, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of Yen Trung commune in the coming years.
Sharing specific details of the economic transformation in each sector, Comrade Pham Ngoc Cu - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Trung commune - said: In agriculture, Yen Trung commune continues to affirm its role as a pillar. Production value is projected to reach 787 billion VND by 2025, with an average growth rate of 4.4% per year. Yen Trung commune has boldly introduced mechanization and new scientific and technological advancements into production. It has built large-scale model fields and formed specialized areas for commodity production, contributing to increased income for farmers.
In particular, Yen Trung commune has exploited the potential of its hilly land to grow fruit trees and medicinal plants: four-season lemons, Xa Doai oranges, Thai custard apples, Tet peaches, etc. Many farm and household models raising 3B cattle, hill chickens, goats, wild pigs, etc., have been successful, following biosafety guidelines.
Along with agriculture, Yen Trung commune focuses on developing industry, handicrafts, and services. The value of industrial and construction production is projected to reach 760 billion VND by 2025, with an average annual growth rate of 10.49%.
Several facilities and businesses have been established in the area: a new technology brick factory, a waste oil treatment company, a construction stone quarry, a garment factory, etc. Commercial and service activities are also thriving, with production value estimated at 544 billion VND in 2025, an average annual growth rate of 10.04%. Along Route 542E, shops and mini-supermarkets have sprung up, meeting the increasing consumer demand.
Alongside economic development, the locality also pays special attention to developing and improving the quality of education, culture, and social services. Six out of nine schools in the area meet national standards. Healthcare and social welfare are prioritized; the poverty rate has decreased rapidly, and people's living standards have gradually improved. National defense and security, as well as social order and safety, are consistently maintained.

Based on the overall objectives, Yen Trung commune has developed 27 key indicators; 5 groups of priority tasks; 4 groups of main solutions and 3 strategic breakthroughs to focus leadership and implementation over the next 5 years.
Yen Trung possesses abundant land and labor resources, a revolutionary tradition, and strong unity. The challenge is to transform these potentials into advantages, and aspirations into concrete actions, in order to build Yen Trung commune into a truly shining example in socio-economic development, building advanced new rural areas, and progressing towards model new rural areas.
